On October 1, 2021, the Expo officially opened in Dubai, which took over the baton from Italy and which, for the next 6 months, will host the stands of 192 countries from all over the world, to ‘connect minds and generate the future’ as the claim of the event states.
A record participation for the Italian Pavilion, which hosts 53 companies, 15 regions and 30 universities of our country for more than 400 scheduled events.
Vincenzo Spinosi, after he was appointed Testimonial Expo Milano 2015 for the Marche Region, has now been immortalized by the Oscar-winning director Gabriele Salvatores to represent the excellence of the Marche Region in the world: the video will be shown inside the Italian Pavilion where a week, from 20 to 26 February, dedicated to regional excellence is scheduled and will concern, in addition to the egg pasta of Campofilone, the craftsmanship of leather and the avant-garde of shipyards.
The film crew spent many hours inside the company of Vincenzo Spinosi, the King of Maccheroncini di Campofilone, the first and only Italian egg pasta to obtain IGP recognition. Salvatores’ aim was to capture the manual skill, craftsmanship, tradition and history of the first artisan workshop established in Campofilone.
Expo Dubai will be an event of extraordinary importance for the development and competitiveness of the socio-economic systems affected by the pandemic, “which will make us proud – says Spinosi – to be from the Marche region, because it will allow our companies to present the Made in Marche in a showcase involving more than 190 countries”.
The event will also see the presentation of the “Dal seme agli Spinosini” project, which has also been developed together with the Department of Agricultural Sciences of the Marche Polytechnic University to create a quality agri-food chain.
